Hudson Highlands Fjord Trail
Building a website for an ambitious park project that was still on the drawing board.
Scenic Hudson, a nonprofit dedicated to the conservation and improvement of the Hudson River and its surroundings, was searching for a team to develop a website for its latest venture, the Hudson Highlands Fjord Trail. The trail was a proposed 7-1/2 mile linear park stretching from Cold Spring to Beacon, New York. I teamed up with Seaver Interactive and we started work in 2020.
Our concepts showcased the exquisite beauty of the river and the land. They also accentuated the thoughtful development plan designed to enhance and protect its delicate environment, which was a major concern for the community.
The client indicated that mobile usage of the new site was especially important, so it was designed with that in mind. The finished site launched in 2022 and has been a great success, averaging 10,000 users per month.
Thanks to the smooth working relationship through creating the site, I was asked to produce an array of marketing and informational pieces for Scenic Hudson including its Annual Reports.
